Nonvoilent Islam (Badshah Khan)

There is nothing surprising in a Muslim or a Pathan like me
subscribing to the creed of nonviolence. It is not a new creed.
It was followed fourteen hundred years ago by the Prophet all
the time he was in Mecca, and it has since been followed by all
those who wanted to throw off an oppressor's yoke. But we
had so far forgotten it that when Gandhiji placed it before us,

we thought he was sponsoring a novel creed.

Peace Forever,
Firacub.

So then why this general perception that muslims are violent? perhaps it's because of the extremists, but then that sort is present in all religions... damn those few that give everyone a bad name.

its nice someone wants to talk bout religion. not often do people bother to do that. if u ask me these are just lines drawn to segregate, we all still eat an drink the same way. but true muslims are misinterpreted. so nice of u to write on such a place to clear misunderstandings....
btw m happy m on ur list of people u wont forget... :D

Its a wonderful idea to start this inspirational blog. Just one suggestion, it would be nice if you mentioned the name of the person who made all the listed quotes.

By the way, its a pity how the militants/west have reduced jihad to such a tabloid term that we cannot be reminded too much that its not really 'war' but a struggle to establish justice at every level, from the individual to the societal. Its so ironic how violence and terrorism is associated with Islam and Muslims, for Islam derives its meaning from Peace and Submission and its followers who always greet 'assalamu'alaikum' means peace be upon you.
